Tyson and Cops



Ty has been bragging about losing a cop that was trying to pull him over last week. Not smart. I saw this and it made me think of Ty.

On another subject. I'm sure most of you noticed that the Stock Market dropped 776 points - the most in a single day ever. I was driving when I heard this and thought "I really need to write this down because I know it will go down in my kids history books." So I am. It's amazing to think that we are living through a major economic time in our country. I want to remember this.

Child Locks

Just got home from a fantastic but regular Gerber non-stop weekend. I have lots to tell but had to highlight a hilarius experience along the way.

Sunday night. Dusk. Matt (Ty's brother-in-law) and Chenille took Ty's car for a spin and came home. Not a problem. Passenger window won't go down. Problem. Ty tried to figure out problem. No solution. We are now forced to stay in Logan for another night or risk getting into a deathly accident or ,gasp, getting a ticket.

Ty proactively woke up early and headed to the Honda dealership, while I braced myself for yet another car bill - they have been way too close together lately for my sanity. An hour later Ty calls Debbie to let her know the news. After many intricate diagnostics, the result - child locks. Ty spent hours the night before trying to figure out why it's not working and the child lock got us good. We all laughed. I was grateful for the bill-less experience and Ty felt like a dork.

Needless to say, the weekend was awesome and a definate refresher.

Maren and Tim Day

We had the amazing opportunity to see Maren Larsen marry Tim Day. I grew up right across the street from Maren. She was my first roommate. She was literally there from the moment I met Tyson, to the moment we kissed across the altar. Maren is a fantastic person; with a heart of gold; loving everyone and reaching for higher heights. We attended her ceremony in the Salt Lake Temple and her wedding luncheon. The coolest part was that Maren and I actually had the same "wedding day casual dress"! She looked fantastic.

So congrats to Maren and Tim. To the many moments of pure joy ahead in life.

Ward Opening Social

We are at it again. Even though I was called to teach Primary, Ty was still left as the official party planner for the young couples in the ward - meaning I now have two callings. We took the summer off and decided to start the parties again. Bro. and Sis. Rindlesbach were kind enough to let us use their amazing home. We had chicken salad, croissants, fruit, chips and dessert.



The highlight of the party was Dave Wright recruiting as many couples as possible to overthrow the board of Directors for our condo complex Ai La Chappelle. We now have a game plan to create a ruckus at the December town meeting. What I love about our ward is the caliber of young couples within it. Tyson and I are surrounded by ambitious young couples who are willing to fight and accomplish great things in life. We have a blast at every church functions.

Our goal is to have an event every six weeks. So the party continues .. check out the pics below.



Lauren's Bridal Shower

Debbie, Nyla and I hosted a Gerber family bridal shower for my new sister-in-law Lauren. We had a blast. Believe it or not I was in charge of games and they were a hit. Thanks to Stefanie, no corny games were played in this bridal shower. We ate ice-cream and reminisced on our own weddings. It's funny how a year ago, I was the young bride, completely clueless and just giddy with joy. It was sweet to see Loren go through the same thing. The Gerber family is fantastic at making a new member, specially women, feel right at home. I love Tyson's family. Here are some pics from the event.

Here are some pictures of our cute new place. This is a tremendous upgrade from our first apartment. I'm loving the extra light, space and just feeling of improvement.

We are going on week four of our new place and everyone that has come has given it a BIG thumbs up. We feel so blessed in our life. We had a great weekend with family an church.

Lazy Bum


I have to confess, I had a lazy day today and it made me feel AWFUL!! We visited my parents and I got glued to the TV for several hours. I think it's a combo of not having a TV at our condo and also just going 100 miles an hour. Well today was my "lazy" day and I feel ever worse tonight then I did this morning. Don't get me wrong - relaxing is a very important time in life , but I got home feeling like BLOOG! Looking back I should have watched TV for an hour and then gone to work out, or clean my place or do my laundry to go look for desk for our home office ... SOMETHING! but instead I just laid there. I'm more disappointed in myself. I feel that I have worked very hard to let go of my non-productive habits and yet one small slip and I'm back.

Thankfully I'm married to Tyson, who not only listens to me but really tries to understand. He reassured me that everything will be OK and that it's good to learn from my mistakes. Oddly enough I write more to vent than to let the whole world know how imperfect I am. There is a strange beauty to really writing down your fault and seeing them for what they are - a work in process. I am a huge "work in process" but I'm so grateful for the chance to work and change for the better.

It's sad to think that there are people that come home from work, eat and watch TV all night ... that's it. They live for the weekends and dread Mondays. I caught a glimpse of that lifestyle tonight and I am forever grateful that it does not capture my life.

Team Cochrane BBQ






We were lucky enough to sneak into the T.C. (Team Cochrane) BBQ. Aside from me buying the nastiest mayo ever from Walmart(sorry Heather) we had an absolute blast. Phil and Heather are just leaders - true in every sense. They have made Tyson and I feel like family. Phil has been Ty's mentor since they first met and honestly Tyson is a mini-Phil, and we could not be happier! Here's to Team Cochrane!

For Those Who Care Enough To Fight

Tyson is reading John Maxwell's "21 Irrefutable laws of Leadership" and shared this amazing quote with me. I just had to post it.

Setting the Record Straight


For those of you who don't know the absolute passion for my business, still probably have the misinformed assumptions of my amazing company - Primerica. Although I believe some people chose to stay ignorant and closed minded, I do have several friends who are truly seekers of truth and would never trust such "reliable" sources such as Google to get the facts on ... well, anything.

One big general misconception is that Primerica is one of those pyramid crap things ... lol I just love this concern.

Well lets get the record straight. Primerica and Citi group are in the Direct Selling business, with a fantastic business model. Proof would be the Direct Selling Association,which not only regulates several big companies but lays out the code of ethics, government affairs and publications of such companies as Usana, Stamping Up, Warm Spirit and Stanley Home products. Any mortgage, title or banking company falls under the same category ... even gasp Countrywide and Bank of America? Crazy eh.

Of course my main thing is for people to get the facts from real sources and lets make it clear that your "brothers, sister, friend from high school that knew a guy" that did anything ... IS NOT A CREDIBLE SOURCE. lol and still people think they can use that one. I applaud my friends who have supported and loved the success I've had here. The freedom and support and ambition I have with my business is untouchable. I thank God everyday for our business and hope to give millions of others the same opportunity I have been given.
