Three Years Ago Today...

I woke up early.

I felt like a pricess because I got my hair done.

I was surrounded by all my favorite people.

I felt pure.

I stayed at the Grand America.

I took so many fun pictures.

I acomplished a lifelong goal.

I arrived 30 minutes late to the temple.

I cried when I saw my grandma in the sealing room.

I almost grabbed the wrong veil out of the temple.

I ate amazing food.

I danced and danced and danced.

I walked down a cool isle.

I heard Chenille sing a gorgeous remix of "in my daughters eyes".

I had a row of sparklers lead me to our car.

I made a promised.

I married my best friend.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LOVE. TODAY LIFE IS SO MUCH SWEETER BECAUSE I SHARE IT WITH YOU.

Grilling Stories

We want a grill. Really bad.

After a missed opportunity to get a grill last weekend, Tyson has been obsessed with finding a free one. This afternoon he was looking at Craiglist and saw that was free and would be left in on the front of the house. Tyson jumped at the chance. We hoped in the car and drove and hour to Littleton.

The sad news is that it was taken by someone else just minutes before we got there! Boo!

The search continues. The entire hour ride back we were kicking ourselves for not getting a grill last weekend when we had the chance. oh well you live and learn.

This weekend I had really bad cramps. So bad in fact, that I came home after sacrament. I never do that, but man this time I was out of the count. Tyson still won't let me take pain pills because he really thinks I will get addicted. So i'm suffering the pain all natural . He better not do this whenever we do end up getting prego.

This next weekend I am driving to Utah for quick trip with Melissa. My goal is to actually see my family, although it will be quick.

Debbie & Gaylan

Debbie & Gaylan made a surprise visit to us this past weekend. It. Was. Awesome!

I will post specifics later but the cool outting included:

Pear Street
16th Street Mall
Dave & Busters
Battle of the Bases
Lots of prairie dog watching
BBQ with cute summer lights
Lunch and tour of Google
Lots of chatting

It was so fun to have them here. Tyson dropped them off at the airport this morning at 5 am and were deppresed the entire day missing them :)

Boating

July 10th we hit Chatfield Lake with the Scottorn Baseshop. We had a competition the month before and lost :( This meant we had to clean and cook the food. We got there right at 9 am and had to wait for last minute things - still we were able to ride in the boat for a good hour and half before we had to cook.

The menu included hamburgers hot dogs, salads, chips, frog eye salad, home made rolls and drinks. It was delish!

The weirdest was the freak 20 minute storm that hit the lake around 2 pm. We all huddled around the tree and tried to cover the food. The scariest part was when Jon tried to dock the boat and the wind was SO bad that it actually started carrying the boat back up to the lake. Tyson and Melissa ran straight to the beach and Tyson stayed with Jon in the boat until the storm passed.

Tyson and I stayed until 4 pm and then headed home for an appointment. We got home and immediately crashed! We took a two hour nap - and we were still exhausted.

Overall we really did have a blast though. Nothing beats a good day at the lake :)

Car Accident

Tyson pushed me out of a moving vehicle. Accidentally of course, but he did push me out of a moving vehicle.

After work I got this massive need to make sure both of our cars were really clean. Maybe it was the fact that I cleaned my car six months ago or that Ty's parents are coming to visit us this weekend. Probably both. I used the sites handy dandy Golf Cart to bring the shop vac over to our apartment and clean my cars. After all the work was done we loaded the stuff back into the cart front seat and I took the back seat with the garbage.

Then Tyson proclaims that outside forces took over because he "swears" that he just slightly stepped on the gas and BAM - the cart accelerated forward at lightning speed and I was thrown off and landed on the pavement.

Yes you heard right - Tyson stepped on the gas and I flew off the cart.

He felt horrible. Good. I was embarrassed and just plain pissed. Did he really just do that? We laughed/talked/argued about it for the next 20 minutes. I guess it will just be part of the crazy adventures of being married to Tyson.

oh yea, my elbow hurts. It got all bruised - when it battled the freaking pavement.

4th Pictures

Wow our first 4th out in Colorado was sure a doozy! First it was on a Sunday and unlike Utah, everything is done on Sunday's. We were fortunate enough to find lots of free activites and were having a blast until .... it decided to turn into the worse weather! We had TORNADO warning's people! Colorado's weather is pretty unpredictable, but to go from 80's and sunshine to hail storms and tornado warnings is pretty extreme.

We found a full on carnival hosted but a local church and it had the works - pony rides, free popcorns, free scones, facepainting, toss games, water games and the coolest was a ride around the block in a fire wagon - and I don't mean a nice, slow ride, this was a "hang on for dear life" kind of ride. The funny thing that we happen to catch the very last ride and we felt really cool - until it started pouring and we were freezing the entire time.

We headed to the Scottorns for dinner and even attempted to catch local fireworks but the weather was just too much for us. So we ended up watching a movie and popcorn.

Overall it was a pretty crazy weekend.

Happenings

It's been a while since I posted photos. We have been busy with lots of learning, mentoring but still having a blast. These pics are from Memorials day - which included a paradea and swimming with the Scottorns.

Tyson and I also hit a cool pizza joint that had a benefit concert with super awesome live bands.

Pearl Street

We hit Boulder this week - home to Google, Colorado University, Colorado's healthie's city and the famous Pearl Street.

Driving into Boulder is beautiful. I thought I was entering Napa,CA. The trees, the low hills - its a gorgeous entrance. The city is smaller than Denver but it's buzzing with nightlife, culture and lots of active people. We spent a good couple of hours just walking and visiting the shops, including the very first Crock Store. We also spent some time looking at some amazing homes.

Happy 4th!

Wow it's the 4th! Half way through 2010. This year has been such an adventure. The 4th is my favorite Holiday and always make me reflect on my blessings.

I woke up this morning, looked over to Tyson and became so emotional. We are so blessed. I live in the best country. I thank God that he brought me here from Nicaragua. I'm grateful for our freedom to attempt the impossibles, to reach new heights. I often think of all the families that don't have their loved one's with them.

In my brief encounter with the military back in 2004, has left a big imprint in my mind about why we fight for our individual freedom everyday. Today we get the freedom to go to church or not, but don't worry, we are :). After I get the freedom to be with whoever I want to be. We get the freedom to watch fireworks, to go on a drive, to protest. We are free.

I love Primerica's theme "Freedom Lives Here". That has so many meanings today. I'm so thankful for our blessings.
