Sydney's First Day Of Kindergarden

We have a kindergartener! And she is so happy. My mom bought her the cutest 1st day of school outfit - and she loved it. She loved her backpack and water bottle.

That morning, my mom did her hair and she loved all the extra attention. The night before we had Back to School night and we got to meet Miss Laird and see her room and Sydney's desk. Sydney has 3 friends in there - Emma S. Holden and Emma Stallings. So fun! I was so glad she has friends in her class.

The 1st day the parents were there the 1st hour - we read a story and everyone cried. We then toured the school and then we separated. I was surprised that I shed some tears. I was so happy and proud of Sydney. Having her attend Ryan almost brings to live the vision we had for our life here. It's finally here and I am so thankful. The funny thing is that I almost lost track of time and had to run to pick her up :) But all was good. We celebrated by going to Adventure Golf to do GoKarts and Mini golf with Abuelita and Papa. It was so fun!

Fun Photos

The last few weeks have been fun. We are gearing up for Sydney to start Kindergarten and she is SO excited! She has a new backpack and some new shoes.

We went to the Boulder State Fair and the girls liked it - but I struggled with all the smells. We did get some free game tokens at an arcade and the girls liked that. London has been practicing writing at school and she is making awesome progress. I love her cute little writings.  I also her little dudes that she draws. They look like little potatoes with arms :)

We went to Westy Fest on Saturday and got so much great swag! We got lots of toys, chapsticks, drinking bottles - it's awesome! The girls loved the bouncy houses but the most fun thing was that there were doing the suspend trampolines for free. Sydney and Tyson waited an hour patiently for it and then London and I got in. Tyson tried bribing Sydney with Ice cream to leave the line but she was determined to do it - I was actually really proud of her for sticking to her guns. She had a BLAST!

My parents come tomorrow and I am so excited to see them!

Weekend Report

This weekend felt long - but not in a good way :) It started with Thursday when London got 24 bunchein in her hair. We spent an hour and 3 cups of vegetable oil to get them out. There were a few tears but I am so glad we did not have to butch her hair.

Friday, I kept the girls from school. Chenille had spent the night over the day before so it was a little crazy. Friday  I worked and then I took the girls to the zoo. It was a little too hot but the girls loved finding the dinosaurs around the zoo.

Saturday Tyson had an all day class but we stayed busy. We did the stake service project in the morning, then picked up groceries and got Sydney her kindergarten backpack. We came home and rested for  a few hours. Then I too, the girls to Big Time playground.

They had a good time but Sydney broke down after only 45 minutes, so the rest of the time I just held her and rocked her in the rocking chair. We went on a long drive and the girls slept. Then Tyson got home around 6 pm. We tried to go to Sam's club and then a park to play. Well, both girls decided to have accidents in the car. So we came home, did body showers and went straight to bed.

Sunday was really nice! We got up late (8 am), we had breakfast and just hung out. We walked to the park and then changed for church. Church was nice. Then we came home and watched a movie. It felt like a long weekend but lots was done.
