Utah part 1

Utah was super fun and super stressful at the same time. London's first time flying went better than expected. Specially since we were sitting at the gate for an hour before taking off

Thursday we hung out with Tyson's parents. Saw jaels house, went shopping

Friday was the luncheon at the grand America, which was super stressful. We got home and did nothing else trying to recoup.

Saturday was the wedding which was so fun. Martin and Erica made a gorgeous couple. Tyson went home to our the girls down. I came back and danced until 930. I went home and crashed.

Sunday we hung out and went to ikea. We also went to have dinner with Melynda and Marco.

Monday we visited sister bowers and headed home. Quick short trip b

Seven months

Weight: 15 lbs 2 oz
Height: 27 inches

Fun facts:
You finally took to the dream feed! This means we can feed you at 10 pm and you make it until the next morning.

You can sit up without any help. You love to reach for things too.

I crawling yet but you love to kick and move your feet all over. You are a fairly stiff baby and you hate being laid down. You much prefer to stay sitting up and looking at the world.

You started solid foods and are doing great. We tried right when you turned six months but you kept spitting everything out. So we waited but now you eat twice a day and doing great.

You take two naps and go to bed at 7-730. You can stay up for 3 hours max in the evening.

No teeth but I think you are teething

You love love your sister. She is so entertaining to you. You love to watch her and giggle when she plays with you.

You use to suck your thumb but now you like your pointer finger much more- just like your sister.

You are usually such a calm baby but there have been a handful of times where you get mad and I mean MAD. Like the ride home yesterday- you cried the full 20 minutes and nothing would make you happy. The second I got you out of the carseat you were happy as a clam.

No crawling but you easily scoot if I have my hands behind your feet.

You loved all your family in utah and was happy if anyone held you

You have pout. I don't know how I describe it but its super cute and super sad at the same time. You are so sweet.

To utah

We head to utah next week for martins wedding. I'm excited for the family to see London who is at such a fun stage. She is active and loves new things. It's nice that she only takes two naps most days and we can actually go out.

London loves to touch faces, play peekaboo and chew on things. I am in love with her big brown eyes and her forever long eyelashes. She could spend all day in my arms while I chase after Sydney. She is the perfect baby for us. I'm so glad she is six months old. The newborn stage is really tough on me.

Little London

Today Sydney look at long nap and London took a short nap. This meant London and i got to spend a whole hour together without an older sister running around. It was so fun to just be with her. I'm just amazed at her sweet and calm personality. She is so happy and easy going. I really feel that she had the perfect personality to round out our family. She loves to watch Sydney. I think in alot of ways she will need Sydney for courage. The one thing I love is her cheeks. Everyone makes comments about her big cheeks that just seem to fall off her little face. That sweet smile and giggle. London has taught me that being loud doesn't always mean more attention. She waits so patiently for things and could spend all day in my arms doing anything and everything. She will cuddle to me and be my little sidekick.

I love you London.
Big.

Reading nook

We got our little reading nook this weekend. The mattress crib is and old one from London. We got pillows and leafs from Ikea. It was really fun. Sydney even picked out this one green pillow and would not let it go. This is the first time she has shown so much love for something new.

I've been thinking a lot about home and what I picture for it. Since having kids I've really paid attention to the kind of things I want my home to focus on. I wanted to write down what I really believe in right now for my girls:

1. I believe in reading. A lot. I have lots of worries about my girls struggling in school. Not sure why, but I'm a big believer that if you are a strong reader, every thing else can be taught. Going to college has made me realize that statistics, calculus, marketing and all those classes I took made NO difference for me as a mother and wife. I can contribute most of my wisdom from reading good books. Even last night I was in bed at 930 reading about schools, kids, marriage. You name it.

2. I believe in outdoors. Right now we have no backyard. We only have a front yard with two mature trees, rocks and a small patio. It's not the best, but I love it. We are out there everyday. We keep a blanket out there. We read out there, we practice letters, numbers and songs out there. I can't imagine ever living in a place with no outdoor spot.

3. I believe in walking. Right now we walk in the trailer home  park behind us. It gets the job done but how I long for actual sidewalks, with mature trees lining the streets and shade. How I long to check out all the different porches and houses.

4. I believe in porches. I want TWO big porches. Front and back. I mean big porches. The kind that is big enough that I can have a dance floor.

5. I believe in small spaces. If I ever get a home, I want it to be no more than three bedrooms and 2000 sq. I dream of actually hiring someone to come and plan my house so every space is used. I also just want to have BIG door leading to the backyard. I see those houses on pinterest that extend to the entire wall and I just picture me leaving the door open every morning for hours on end. I want the outside to casually flow into the family room.

Oh man so many ideas, so many wishes. We are really far from buying a home, but man I have changed so much in the last three years as to what I want in a home.

but for right now I just have this little reading nook. Sydney and I have used it three times. I make an effort to go there several times a day so someday Sydney will see it as a cool place.

Attitude

Sydney has been so funny lately. Turning into a little girl. Today we went to the grocery store - Sydney did amazing! Followed instructions and kept "hand on the cart". She was so sweet, even after breaking a carton of eggs :)

We went walking too. London just sits there and sucks her thumb, which is the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!!!

Little girls

These are not the best photos of my girls - see the scratches London gives herself while sleeping and my very blurry camera with Sydney. STILL - this is a very real glimpse of what life is actually like. I try to take pictures of things as I go through out the day. London's hair looks sooo oily. The truth is that I usually wash her hair once a week and then give her a quick body bath during the week. With sydney I will do the same. Sydney really hates me doing her hair, so when I actually do it. I try to make it last a week and then I can just do her pigtails. I hate hair in my girls face, mostly because I hate hair in MY face. I remember with Sydney I would not dare to put a little elastic in her hair, but with London, I just like it being away from her eyes.
