London @ 5 Years Old

Dear London,

Happy 5th Birthday! I am so happy you are 5.

I have to say this last year was really rough. Your strong personality struggled at school but you kept working at it.

The closer you got to 5 - the more we were able to work together and really make some progress. You have really stepped up and learned more control and how to communicate more.

You finally have started to love riding bikes - last summer you were NOT into it. But like everything, you decided it was time and you took off.

You have also really taken to swimming. I can't say you "swim" but you love the water and feel very confident.

You love reading but overall you are not super interested in school - but that is totally ok. You ARE excited that you get to start Kindergarten in  August.

It's funny because you took a long time to pick your birthday activity and your restaurant.

The fact that the following week we left for Cancun also added to the craziness - but honestly, it feels like the entire month we are celebrating your birthday.

You love Sydney and a few key friends at school - but overall you are totally ok with being by yourself. You still love to watch TV and we have to super careful to not have you go crazy.

You still love crafts and painting. You still love babies the most but I can see you totally growing out of that - you really are becoming a little girl.

London, I love how you love Jesus and Heavenly Father. You still talk a lot about Baby B and you seem so connected to the spirit. The other day you shared with Sydney and you said "Mom, Jesus would be proud."

And he would be. You love to pray and always talk about who we could pray for.

I love you little fiesty London. You are going to do big things this coming year. I am so thankful I get to be a part of it.

Love,

Mommy

Sydney Church Book

I wanted to post Sydney's church book that her teachers gave her. They worked all of 2017 on it. It's been so cute to see her grow in her faith and love for Jesus and Heavenly Father.

Honestly, Sydney did not even like to say prayers - but Tyson started asking everyone 1. What's one thing you are grateful for and 2. Who can we pray for. That has really changed our family prayer and Sydney really takes time to think about it.

ps. Tyson and I went to the Temple on Saturday and when I told London that we were going she said "you guys are going to get married again?" it was so funny!

February So Far ...

February - such a short month but BOY are we packing a lot into it.

1. The girls finished swimming lessons.
2. Sydney entered her 1st Science Fair at school. We did apple science - and Sydney got 2nd place out of kindergarten.
3. We celebrated London's birthday - that will be another post.
4. Tyson shaved his beard and now looks 16 again.
5. Tyson got called as EQ 2nd counselor.
6. We have had several great days and have been so warm - so we walk. We even found this HUGE ball of snow - as big as the girls.
7. We leave for Cancun in 2 days
8. We have been watching the Olympics nonstop
9. I turn 35 next week

Can you believe we did this in all 28 days?! It's been a fun and busy month. I have been walking when I can and we try to go the gym 2 times per week.

Work is good and busy but we are working on some big project - which take a lot of time and mental perseverance. it feels like you move so slowly and there are setbacks - but you keep going!
