Tyson Graduated

Tyson graduated RefactorU on 2/23/2017.

It took him 16 weeks and SO much work and tears. I am SO proud of him. At 11 am we went to his office and watched everyone do their demos. Tyson practice his 5-minute presentation for 3 hours and totally killed it.

After everyone's demo's we went to the Boulder Beer Company and we had yummy appetizers and yummy drinks. It was pouring snow outside but we were so happy. Tyson walked to get his certificate and his teachers said really nice things about him. Then they all stood in a circle and talked about highs and lows and their biggest aha moments.

The most memorable moment for me was hearing several of his cohort buddies explaining how Tyson was such a leader among his peers and always willing to help. It was awesome to see that Tyson's goodness really shined through.

We finally left the company around 3 pm and it took forever to get home. I just can't believe we ACTUALLY did it.

It felt like the entire family graduated - not just Tyson. I took my college diploma and put Tyson's diplomat in it. Tyson though it was silly, but part of me is more proud of RefactorU then of my college degree. The last two months especially were so hard with me being sicker than a dog - Tyson pulled every piece of strength to work at school and help with the girls.

So we are done! oh man it feels good to say that. Tyson had a first round interview that Wednesday and will have a 2nd interview on Monday.

It's been nice to have Tyson home sooner - oh man it's  been amazing. He is even taking the girls to swimming this week.

The Roughest Week

So we made it to Friday and this last week has felt like an entire month!

Where to start. Well then week started pretty well - we celebrated Valentines day. Well then on Tuesday night I started to feel sick - no the yucky prego sick that I have felt for the last two months, but a cold sick. Stuffy nose, eyes burning, achy muscles ... awful right?

Well, then Wednesday I picked up the girls from school and noticed the London was scratching her head. This thought popped into my head "she may have lice"

So I came home and told Tyson. So he came home and did an inspection - don't ask me why I could not get the guts to do it. Sure enough  they had it.

So Tyson and I freaked out. I ran to Target and bought $200 worth of lice product and elimination kits.

So Thursday night we did a treatment to the entire family and washed all bedding ... the girls did not get to bed until 11 and Tyson and I did not get to bed until 1 am.

The next morning we were so tired. Tyson stayed home since the girls could not go to school. I worked the best I could and we cleaned the  house, washed everything under the sun ... it was such a long day. Thankfully it was a gorgeous day. We we could dry a lot of stuff outside.

I left the house for 4 hours to give Tyson time to work. Then we had a networking thing from 5 - 8. The girls were in bed at 630 from a long day, and I was in bed at 7 but I had my cold and could not sleep to save my life.

Oh and our washer broke, so the last load never got rinsed out, so we had to ring all the water out. It sucked.

pregnant - check
got a cold - check
lice - check
broken washer - check
Tyson's finals week - check

oh! and my clients website was having all kinds of issues. Oh man what a week.

I saw something posted on FB that said "Have Faith In God The Beginning, Middle and End" and boy did I feel like that was for me. We are in the middle of everything right now and I am losing faith and feeling so lonely.

It was a good reminder that God is still there - in the middle of hair washings, washers breaking, final's crazyness.

We are slowly getting through it.

London's Birthday Day

We keep birthday's really simple. Since London's birthday fell on a Saturday, it was perfect to hang out all day. We got a sitter in the morning so Tyson and I could go to our appointment. The girls loved playing with Corinne.

Then we got home opened some presents and watched a movie. We made special birthday pancakes and London ate on her special red plate. Then at 2 pm we went on a drive to let the girls sleep. At 330 we met a friend at Chuck E cheese and played for an hour.

Then we went to dinner at Red Robin and London got a free Sundae and all the waiters sang for her. She loved it!

We had a fun day with lots of fun  memories. We got home and opened the Walkie Talkies that Debbie sent London and the girls had a blast getting to learn how to use the. We were all in bed at 830 and it was a fun day.

London @ 4 Years Old

London,

You turned 4! It felt like the whole week was a big anticipation to your birthday. You also had 3 other birthday's at your school that week - so it just kept reminding you that your's was coming up.

This last year has been quite the experience. You really tested us during 3. You've always had a strong personality but boy did it come out. Thankfully the closer we got to 4, the more we have been able to work together and communicate more.

You are so strong, independent and just so clear on what you want. You have no problem being by yourself and you actually are really good at recognizing when you have had enough "friend" time.

You still deal with sensory issues and eczema issue - but you are a good sport about it.

You have loved swimming classes and you try so hard! You finally mastered swimming on your back with Daddie's help - you were beaming! You love to help me. Just this morning we were making eggs and you said "I'll get the eggs mom - I'm a great helper" and you really are.

You are the last one to go to bed and the first to get up - it's like you have this reserve of energy! You always come into our bed when you get up and you cuddle with us. We love it.

You are really loving school. You moved up to Preschool and you try so hard to stay on green - it does not always happen, but we always talk about it and you always determine to do better the next day.

You love reading and you interrupt us every 5 seconds to tell us "I'm that person" or "mom that is silly." You really notice so many details.  You also just moved up to Sunbeams at church. When we sang to you on Sunday you came out  beaming that the entire primary sang to you.

You are still our best eater. You love bananas, blackberries and "toltilla's".

You love your blankie and your babies. You freely give hugs and tell people "It's ok I forgive you and we all make mistakes" when something bad happens.

You love to dance and have a really good rhythm. You have these gorgeous brown eyes - they just scream with joy.

Oh London, I am so thankful for you. I thought you were my last baby and I loved it, but now I'm actually really excited to see you be a big sister. I just feel so much love from you. You always give me another chance and I am so thankful for that.

Your Daddy adores you. Every night you ask him "Daddy will you protect me from the monsters" and he always says "yes I always will". Then you instantly feel better and go to bed. You two have such a special bond.

I love you London. Happy 4th birthday!

Love,
Mommy

100 Days Of School

The girls celebrated the 100 days of school. Goddard did a lot of cute activities to celebrate it. They made muffins for it, they did yoga and had a singer come and sing about 100 days.  They have such cute ideas for it.

We had dinner at Blaze Pizza and then went home and waited for Tyson to get home.

This Weekend

The weekend was crazy! Add to the fact that BOTH Tyson and I are sick - I am proud that we made it.

Friday Tyson got home super early - 3 pm and just looked awful. His head hurt, so he went straight to bed and was out until the next morning. So the poor girls and I tried to make it through.

I don't even remember what we ate. But we  all went to bed at 8 pm on Friday.

Saturday my sister flew into town for a funeral. I wanted SO bad to see her but the the drive was over an hour. I had my counseling session at 10 am and then picked up lunch and I headed home. Tyson was still super sick but really wanted to see Jael. So at 2 pm, we drove to Colorado Springs. Tyson was so sick the entire way there. We stopped by Walgreens and picked up migrane medicine, caffine, and candy to keep the girls happy.

We got to the hotel and Tyson went straight to bed. Jael and I took the kids swimming. The girls loved seeing their cousins.

Tyson slept for an hour and then joined us downstairs for free dinner. Well it was going great until London threw up. Oh man!

We left the hotel at 630 but Tyson was feel much much better. Thankfully the drive was fast because of no traffic. We got home at 730 and I felt like a truck ran over me - So I went straight to bed.

The next morning we both woke up super sick still. I took the girls and got them breakfast while Tyson slept and then we switched. Thankfully the Blakely's took the girls to church so we could rest.

oh  man! It just feels like it can't get worse. I hope Tyson is all better, because both of us sick is not a good thing at all.

Thankfully that afternoon we had dinner at Jeremy's and Amy's house. It was awesome to not cook and the girls played for 3 hours straight. Everyone felt bad for me and I just laid on the couch.

We got home at 9 pm and put the girls down. We were so tired we slept until 745! Then we rushed to get the girls to school and Tyson to school.

Tyson only has a few weeks left. Going to Refactor U has been such a wild ride. In a lot of ways - it's been disappointing, but in other way's it's been the best thing for Tyson. So the real proof will be if he can get a job - oh  boy do we need him to get a job!

So that was our weekend - no photos. Too sick to move.
