This week ...

This week was filled with MORE hikes, MORE walking and MORE school. A few highlights.

1. The girls has spirit week - the WORST week of the year - ha! But they were really excited to do it themselves. They came up with their own customers for the Crazy Hair Day or Favorite TV Character day. London was Dora and Sydney was the girl from Gnome Alone. They also dressed up at 100 year old.

2. We went on Cargo Bike rides and to boulder for pretty walking paths.

3. I got a new sun hat and have been going on lots of walks around the street.

4. We have been hanging out with our neighbors more.  The girls love being with a few friends again.

5. We have officially started our foundation crack repair work. It started Tuesday and took all week. We are still needing to fix the DryWall and the landscaping but thankfully things are making progress.

6. Tyson's company laid off 14 people. They laid of Kale who is Tyson's only other front end developer. He has been working for the company for 9 years. It was really scary. We are thankful that Tyson still has a job - although they cut his paycheck by 7%. Tomorrow he will start working longer hours for less pay. So yeah, it felt really sad.

It's been a long and tough week. Things felt very heavy. Today at church we talked about the trials of live and how God won't take them away but will support us. So I am thankful for this knowledge.

Cute Maddie feel sleep on Tyson. He loved it.

What an amazing weekend! We spent hours and hours outside - we followed the Blakely's to Evergreen for the 3 Sisters Hike, A stop at the New Zandee Gallery Openhhouse and getting take out dinner. The hike was amazing and peaceful. The kids loved every minute. You felt so free out there. It was only a 40 minute drive and the views were amazing.

This weekend Tyson and I bought all the things we need for our new fence and we stained all the cedar boards in preparing for the Foundation Work on Wednesday.

On Sunday for Mother's day I slept in, then had a fun breakfast. We did church, and relaxed for a little bit. Then from 1 - 4 we went on a super long Bike Ride. It was so great! The weather was amazing. I did Facetime with my mom and my Abuelita. I finished some work.

For dinner Tyson made an awesome spaghetti with meat sauce. We all relaxed and watched TV and then the girls went to bed at 830 PM. It was a busy weekend! It was filled with projects, outdoor time, friends and doing the slow things - but we loved it. What a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend

We are on week 8 of social distancing for the Corona Virus Pandemic. A few big things are happening.

1. The weather has been staying nice! which has made such a big difference between how we feel. We are outside every day. We have been finding new walking trails to explore and it's been really nice.

2. Our state has started to Phase In some normal life again - we can now meet with groups of 10, we can be outside if we have a mask ... and some office workers can return to work. Tyson is still working from home and will be for the next future since his office does not want everyone to wear mask all day long. Schools are still totally closed which really bumms me out. London did get into a summer school program - but it will all be online and it may not work but we are going to try it.

My work hs been slowing down since the Conquer launch was CRAZY and really good numbers.

It feels like most people are finally feeling a little bit better about the pandemic. The hospitals are recordings less new cases and deaths are slowing down. Its still a little crazy to see everyone wear mask and everyone washing hands ... but I don't sense panick anymore.

Toilet paper is back but clorox wipes are still hard to find. The next big thing that people are worried about are the meat plants - which are closing. So last week we stocked up on meat. My goal is to really cut back on our food budget in May. April was pretty crazy but now we are doing better.

Sydney has also officially lost both of her front teeth! She looks so cute!
