January 2022 - Recap of Month

January has come and gone. It's been a good month and it's been a learning experience. 

• London finished her cooking class with Sara Hammond. 
• Sydney graduated from Low Dolphin and is now part of High Dolphin at her swim school. 
• Yes, I am tired at 8 pm - but I fall asleep so hard and so soundly. 
• Yes, our social schedule a very boring - but we hang out with families that are in a similar season and so we get it. 

The biggest thing that happened is that Tyson started school. He is doing a one-year certificate in school and work. 

He has 2 classes and lots of homework. So now he is getting up at 5 AM to study from 5 - 7 AM. He has classes Tuesday during the day and then Thursday evening. 

It's been a great but stretching experience. Leading up to the classes starting, we totally saw God's hand in how everything worked out. BUT we also knew it was going to be hard. 

We are in focused mode. We are going to bed early, getting up early, keeping our activities really low key, keeping food simple, keeping house project simple. 

The other big thing is that Tyson got his new car. He bought a 2015 Toyota 4runner at an auction. It has cosmetic issues but overall it's a decent car. It had 56K miles and we hope that it will run until 250K miles. I have always wanted to have a car run that long (with normal maintenance)

Both girls are also taking a 3-week karate class at school. 

Both girls are also doing piano in the early morning. They get up at 640 and the practice 15 - 20 minutes Monday - Friday. We are doing Simply Piano app and both girls really do seem to like it. 

Work for me is busy - but it was a nice slow transition. I have been really diligent in staying ahead and it's been really really nice. 

I am now on month 8 of waking up consistently at between 430 - 445 AM. It still has been so life-changing. 

Overall I am just loving it. I  know it may not last forever, especially as our kids start to be teenagers, but for right now it's awesome.
