Summer So Far

Man, it's felt as if things have been non-stop since the girls got out of school for the summer. Sydney got out May 24th and then May 29th, she had surgery at Children's Hospital. She got her Adnoids out so she can breath through her nose and not snore as much. Tyson took the day off and went with her. I finished my call and headed to the hospital. She had a hard time waking up and was saying "I can't wake up." She was in post op for about an hour and then they sent us home.

Sydney felt crummy the 1st day. She stayed home with me for 4 days - but honestly, after the 2nd day she was great! By the 3rd day she did not need any pain medication. The only bummer is that she could not blow her nose for 2 weeks and had lots of buggers.

Sydney started June 2nd back at Goddard and both girls are only going half day until 2 pm - so it's been interesting to get work done and have both girls home 2 hours early.

As for summer projects - its all been yard. We installed sprinklers back in April, we also had our stamped concrete done in the back and redid our walkway up to the house.  We also had our neighbor do his side driveway - and it looks awesome!

The last part of the project is putting down rock on our little side yard and sod in the remaining part. We are doing that this weekend! Then we are done with big project! I am so excited. We will still have little projects every year - like we need to paint some spots on the house and remove boards from the deck. We someday hope to repaint the entire house ... but we will be waiting many years for that.

Some other fun things - we attended Olivia's birthday party and it was princess theme. Then we visited the Children's Museum on their free day. We fed the missionaries, we have gone swimming and played in the sprinklers in our yard.

Besides the project, we have not done much. We do plan to travel to Utah in July for a few weeks but we are pretty happy just being at home and riding our electric bikes a lot :)
