I never took a photo of London's 1st place for Kindergarten Science Fair |
Well this last week was very exciting. We had our "bomb cyclone" on Wednesday and everything was shut down. I worked with Pat on Wednesday from 830 - 1130 and then headed home nice and slow. I got home right when the wind and snow was picking up.
At 1 pm we lost power and heat - which was my worst fear. I was able to read and I was so worried I took a nap. It finally came back on at 530 pm and we are so thankful.
Thursday everything was shut down again but the weather was much better - so the girls played outside. We got really creative and the girls look funny photos and tried to not go crazy.
I am so thankful for our warm home. I did make me realize that we really needed to be better prepared and get to know our Karosene heater better - so we can use it if we needed to.
A few days later we got free tickets to the Museum of Nature and Science. It's been about 2 years since we had been there and the girls LOVED the kids area again and it was really interesting to go back and see the exhibits. Denver really does have great venues.
We also attended our church St. Patricks day party - it was really fun and really chill. We had Sarah Bugarin visit us on Sunday and we spent several hours outside with the girls riding their bikes in front. I bought 2 new cones and feel really good when cars slow down.
My favorite thing is having our read chairs out there, filled with happy neighbors, kids playing outside and lots of laughs - it just makes me so happy.
