London Graduates 5th Grade

London graduated elementary school! What a bitter sweet moment. Elementary school was a huge learning curve for our entire family. We had a lot of ups and downs. We had teachers that were amazing, and teachers that struggled. We got to know the principal really really well.

We volunteered, we visited, we did all the activities ... and now it's done.

We bought this house because of the school - and now that phase is done. How grateful I am for our time at Ryan. How grateful I am that I was so close to our girls. I am grateful that I could wave to my girls during recess and walk them and bring them home.

We are excited to have just one district to worry about next year, but man we loved our time here.

Our sweet London graduated elementary school. This was such a bittersweet time for me and Tyson. We moved into our house 10 years ago with this dream of having our girls attend a really great quality and close by elementary school. Ryan Elementary has exceeded our expectations and we have really grown as a family. During this time. We have become really close with the principal and almost all of London's teachers. We had some really rough years when London was being diagnosed and after the pandemic. But I am so glad that we pushed through, that we practiced advocating for London, and that we practiced learning how she did best at school.

Fifth grade came with a lot of mixed emotions – they were new friends and fun activities, but also heartbreak when friendships changed and people that you had been friends with earlier in the year or in the elementary school years no longer were interested in being your friends. We saw this with ✨đź’…Sydney ✨đź’… too, but we also knew that everyone was changing and that it was OK. One thing that I've really learn and come to appreciate is the fact that our little family unit is what is constant for the girls through all these changes.

London was really worried about starting middle school and I don't blame her. Middle school is a big change and there's a lot of emotions and a lot of very different kids trying to figure themselves out, but London has been doing really great.
