Golden's In Golden Event |
So far, February has been a really great month. We had a few days of amazing weather, I am talking about high 60s. It felt like summer and it was amazing to be out in the sun walking. I even took several minutes to sit out for no reason other than soaking in the sunshine. Sydney and London have continued to go to the tutoring sessions at Mathnasium and February. ✨💅Sydney ✨💅 even got picked as student of the month. London has officially entered her next dance protection and she will be a lead fish in the Little Mermaid. She is really loving it. Sydney is also finalizing all her dance moves for her big production coming up in April with the school dance. Tyson and I have been really busy with work, starting to do taxes, working out, church stuff… Really just life.
One funny thing is that I have been on a big kick of trying new hairstyles. Mainly things that keep my hair up, but some new things. It's been fun. The girls and I continue to try and master Heatless Curls - and it's been fun.
We celebrated London's 12th birthday and the funny thing was that her birthday landed on the day of my surgery for my uterine fibroid. It was a chill birthday, but we still did some fun presents in the morning. The funniest part about it all was the fact that Tyson saw this really cute llama at Costco, and that would be a fun present, so he bought it. But then when London got it, she mentioned how it was clearly a dog toy. So we all laughed about it, and it was really funny that we got London a dog toy. We have since gotten her a real llama toy and returned the dog toy to Costco.
I had my surgery on February 11 and the first week after it was really rough. I felt super sick, I was really nauseous, very emotional, and just had to lay down pretty much all day the first four days after the surgery. I was really worried that it was another case of labyrinthitis, which I got after each of my birth. I did email the doctor and she said that the anesthesia medication that they gave me has a side effect of vertigo that can last up to a week. Thankfully, by Monday of the next week, I was feeling so much better. I was even able to very slowly and very gently start working out again, and I cannot believe how much I missed my workout classes. The goal of this surgery is for the IUD to hopefully help my periods become much more manageable, but it will take about 3 to 6 months to actually see the full effect. As of right now, I'm still bleeding daily and will be doing so for the next three months, but hopefully it will be lighter and lighter and later.
For Valentine's Day, Tyson did his annual surprise where he goes all out and buys the girls fun little gifts, but the key is that he drops it off at school. He always leaves a little note that says from your secret admire. And the girls have really grown to love this. They begged to make sure that he did it for them this year, and it makes him feel so special.
We had the Blakely's come over to hang out on Saturday 2/22, and the adults. Got to go to try a new cool Mexican restaurant. The name is Perdida - and it was so yummy. The vibe was very California Beach and it was just a really cool experience. We even got some fancy nonalcoholic drinks and that was really fun. They also played two pranks on us. They gave us a fake Lottery ticket that made Tyson think he won 500k for a solid 30 minutes. Then Trent hid a beeping bug inside Tyson's office - so funny!
We also had a fun game night with Amanda and Steve Calley and it was really great to catch up with them. We had cinnamon rolls, fresh banana bread, and played a new game - which I totally did NOT understand.
