Sydney Turns 7

Happy Birthday Sydney,

You turned 7! This year I got to go to your class and help with the Halloween party. It was really fun!  You loved going trick or treating and the weather turned warm.

This year you have done so many things! You learned to ride your bike, you became more independent. Your reading really took off. You also had your 1st surgery to take your adenoids out.

Your mind goes 1000 miles per hour. You ask questions about everything and you really do inspect everything around you. You ask questions about Death, babies, homelessness, food, school, and friends. You trust us - and I love that. You tell me about the funny or naughty things you do.

You have an honest heart. You apologize when you do something bad but it does not stop sneaking candy. Candy is kind of your downfall but you are working to eat healthier foods.

You still loving being rocked and sitting on my lap. You love holding hands with me. You are also really great at swimming! You have learned to stay safe.

You love your friends and you are learning its ok to not do everything with only one person. You are also learning to stand up if your friends are doing something that was not good.

Your prayers have really changed this last year - they are so much more meaningful. You also talk about how grateful you are for things.

You are such a sweet girl Sydney - with SO much energy and love of life. I love you and I am happy you are part of our family.

Love,

Mom
