It's funny how birthday's seem to change the older you get. This years birthday has been really mellow. Tyson spent a good hour last night decorating the house and I woke up to a great looking room. I worked all day but was happy to receive fun calls from friends and family. Most importantly my sweet Grandma. I don't know how she does it but she always remembers it. My grandma is the only one that actually remembers my birth and I love hearing about it.
For my birthday I have been wanting a Clarisonic skin cleanser. Both my mom and sister have one and I fell in love when I tried it out in December. I have been saving all my fun money for this and thanks to debbie's last contribution I ordered online this morning! It's cute. It's yellow! Can't wait.
After work we started our fun night on the town. We made a quick trip to Ross and got a brown sugar canister and a new cutting board! I have been wanting both fora while.
After Ross Tyson started our "Progressive Dinner". We first had appetizers at home, then went to Burger King (I have been having the biggest Whopper kicks lately) for dinner, then Wendy's for dessert. It was actually really cute.
It's been a pretty crazy last year. I am still in awe that I am 28. I don't feel 28. I feel 23. I feel like I just graduated college and have no idea what is going on. In 28 years I have acomplished alot:
1. Came to America and became a citizen
2. Graduated college
3. Found the gospel
4. Married a fantastic man
5. Growing a great business
6. Learned to budget and save money
7. Kept great friends
8. Obtained my own testimony
9. Learned to keep a positive attitude throughout trails
10. Have became an avid reader
11. Have found a passion to be a good wife and keep a great home.
I've changed alot in my lifetime. Heck just the last 10 years have been pretty monumental for me. I'm grateful for my experiences. This next year holds many surprises - one of them I am crossing my fingers will be actually having kids. God delayes are not God's denials.

Surprised Birthday Dinner!
My birthday last year was such a blur. We literally filled our truck and drove to Colorado on my birthday. This year my birthday falls on a Saturday and although I won't be getting any big parties I am having a great birthday week.
The 1st thing is the great weather! We are in the 60's baby. Sunday it's suppose to get cold but that's after my birthday. The 2nd fun thing is dinner with the girls. The coolest girls in my ward (12 to be exact) planned a little girls night out in honor of my birthday. The funniest part was that I did not even know about it until Julie Kellis - who is my missionary visits partner in crime - mentioned that she was excited for Thrusday. I was liked "what's thursday?" So Celeste Hutchinson called me that day and made me aware that they needed me there. Tyson was great and took over me studying with some of our teammates so I could go.
We met at Red Robin and had an absolute blast. We talked and talked and talked. We ordered yummy food and I got a free Sunday and an embarrasing song. The girls were super awesome and even paid for my dinner. I did not get home until 10 pm! It was so fun.
I'm so thankful for our ward. This is honestly the first married ward that Tyson and I feel really a part of. Even in our last ward I served in YW but we were such a young couple that we did not have many friends. A weird thing that I noticed when I got home is that I was the only one there without kids - which made me feel old but also excited for the future.
These girls made my night!

Funny Valentines Day
This years valentine's day started pretty normal. We went to managers meeting, we had a good time learning to overcome objections. After the meeting Tyson & I got a special treat and got half hour massages! Our favorite treat for sure. (This was such a cool deal. I got a coupon for $30 and it included three free massages for this new spa. These are regularly $35 each! So we paid $10 in tips so we will get three massages for about $45! This is freaking phenomenal. Our massage therapist Lisa was absolutely amazing)
After massages we went home, had some of my homemade freezer burritos and really just relaxed. We watched Saraha and ate grapes. It was really nice. At 5 we got up and got ready for opp meeting. We changed the date due to the Jon & Melissa going to Puerto Rico. We picked up the Scottorns at 5:30 because we were taking them to the airport. Opp meeting rocked. Tyson spoke and did amazing. After opp we all hung out at the office until 9:45 pm. This is where things got interesting.
We all went outside to pack into the cars when Jon & Melissa told us that we were also taking Rey and Iziquiel. So we hand to cram 6 adults into a 4 passenger car! Tyson, Rey and Iziquiel rode in the back. Jon drove and Melissa and I shared the front seat. It was pretty funny. We got to the aiport and Jon said that we were almost out of gas and that Ty & I might not make it home. We made it 30 miles and were running on empty. We thankfully made it to a gas station and put $10 in gas. Right as we got to the gas station Angela & Ben Larsen (who took curtis and katie to the airport too) called and said their car died on 104th and Tower. So we got in the car and pretty much drove BACK to the airport to pick them up - ps our airport is almost an hour away.
We were all starving at this point so we looked for a place to eat. Well we got half way home when we hit a track stop and had to wait 30 minutes for a BIG train to pass. On man! Then we found a Burger King and ordered but waited forever for the food! It was insane. All we wanted was just to eat.
We finally made it back to Jon'hs house at 12:30. We dropped off his car and jumped into ours. We got home at 12:45 and finally ate something. Angela & Ben slept over and we all got to bed around 1:20 am. We were so exhausted! It was such a crazy Valentines night. It will surely be remembered.

Gas Experience
Tyson and I got home Wednesday night at different times - but when each of us got home we both smelled the house and it STUNK! Now my house is very clean and I air it out on a regular basis but this was different. Tyson said it was almost like rotten eggs. Ty started researching this while I took a shower and started to clean up a little bit. We had opened all the doors and windows - oh and a little side note. It was -10 in Colorado!
Tyson called his dad and Brad Romero and both of them said this could be serious. Supposably companies put an "rotten egg" smell in natural gas so that it could be detected. His dad suggested we call the police. Tyson called and the police started to ask if we were feeling bad or if we had headaches. They told us to go outside immeidatly and wait for the police. Well we wasted no time. I grabbed my purse and camera - which contained a video of our entire house - in case our renters insurance needed a copy, and we ran outside. We ran the car and waited there. I started to txt Melissa and Jael the crazy news. Melissa reminded me that I was waiting for the police in my robe and long john garments! I had not even thought about that.
We saw the police arrive and Tyson started talking to them. All of the sudden I saw an ambulance and firetruck screaming down the road and they were coming to US!!!!! It was kind of embarrasing.
They went inside and they detected nothing. urg. How embarrasing. They said it was probably because we aired our the house for an hour. They told us that if we smell that again to call them again.
So they left . Ty & I were pretty paranoid for the first hour and half but said a prayer and were able to fall sleep. Two days later we bought donuts and brought them the firemen. Just to say thanks.
It was pretty crazy.
