Fort Collins Temple Open House

We attended the Fort Collins Temple Open house on 8/29. We picked up the girls from school at 1 pm and started the hour drive. Well the GPS made us lost. We used the address on the website but we ended up in the middle of no where.

So then we looked up the stake center and we finally were able to find it (we were on the totally wrong side of the freeway) Thankfully we had allowed extra time.

We got there, changed the girls into their dresses and entered the stake center. We got put into a tour and we started by watching a really cool movie.

Then we went inside the temple. It was really beautiful. It smelled so clean!

Sydney loved it and was really interested in everything. London on the other hand got bored after 10 minutes and kept asking "can we be done"  over and over again. The tour was only 20 minutes but it was really pretty. After we took some photos.

We went toward Downtown Fort Collins. We stopped at Mcdonalds and the girls played for 1.5 hours. They needed to let off steam so bad!

Then we took the long way back - highway 287, but it was so pretty and it rained which I loved. We talked about the girls and life and what we wanted to do.

Its funny because whenever I have to leave "work" early I always really nervous that I am missing something - but not this time. I felt at total peace the whole day and felt very present. It was awesome.

We got home and we promised the girls some ice cream so we stopped by King Soopers to get some. Then we got home and went to bed by 830. I was super tired, but super happy.

It was a really wonderful experience. I don't think the girls will really remember it but hopefully it made them feel special. Sydney LOVED the bride room.
