Utah Trip 2018

Our annual Utah trip is on its way. On Friday July 13th I left at 545 am with the girls. We made 3 super quick stops and we made it to  my mom's house by 1:40 PM  - so just under 8 hours. The girls did really great and did not really complain but asked what time we were getting there ALOT!

It's funny because even though we have lived out of Utah for more than 10 years - as soon as I see  SLC all my memories come back - college, high school.
I also love walking into my mom's house - it's like I have never left. My mom was so sweet and showered the girls with toys and clothes.

Friday, Jael treated us to a jump place - because my girls were jumping off the wall at her place :) It's funny how different kids can be.

Saturday morning we woke up, ate breakfast and then went to the Bluffdale splashpad. It was super fun! Everyone joined us and it was great to catch up.

We left at 2 pm and came home. I rested and then we went to Melynda's house to do dinner and kayaking down the Jordan River. It was so fun and something totally new. The only bummer is that we got home super late

Then Sunday we took the Trax downtown and looked at Temple Square and had lunch. Then we came back around 1 and I took a long 2-hour nap. I was SOOOO tired. I woke up and we all went swimming at Julio's pool - where Fredy jumped in to "save" a crying logan.

Monday I woke up to work. Then we went to have Jael for lunch, a jum place for an hour and then Ikea for an hour of playing ....

The rest of the week we went to a  movie, visited Tia Celia, shopped at Down East, had breakfast.

Friday night Tyson got in at midnight. We all went to be really late and tried to sleep in.

Then we went to breakfast with my mom and then headed to logan. We visited Grandma Gerber, had sushi at Smiths for lunch and then took the hour long drive to Beak Lake.

The girls had a blast at Grandma Camp.

The next days we just relaxed at the cabin. We also helped clean out 10 old mattresses - so awesome.

The girls really loved playing in the water, Debbie took them Kayaking and we went to all the parks and had AMAZING raspberry shakes.

We went to 2 parades in Logan, visited Grandma Gerber, Nolan and Bev - we visited parks, played video games, ate at Cafe Rio.

Then after 4 days we went back to SLC. We were able to see Melynda again and my brothers.

Tyson and I also celebrated our 11th year anniversary. My parents too us to dinner at the Little America while Melynda watched the girls.

Saturday morning at 4 am we got up and were on the road qt 445. We made it back to Colorado around 1 pm
