Tyson and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary on Saturday. Wow 12 years! That means that we have been together more than 13 since we dated a year before we got married - that seems like such a  along time!

We had a wonderful full day on Saturday.

In the morning we went to the Dragon Boat Festival at Sloan Lake. We got there early to watch the boat races - which was our favorite part. Then we walked about and got lots of good stuff. We got 11 pairs of sunglasses, painted pots, watched a dragon dance .... it was just a fun time. We also got there before it was too hot.

We made it back to the car and then headed to a local church BBQ. It was so fun! They had amazing food, a wet slip and slide, carnival games and a nurf gun range - we all had a blast.

We came home around 2 pm and relaxed the rest of the afternoon.

At 5 PM Sydney Lake came to babysit the girls. Then Tyson and I picked up Sushi and ate it at Eben Park in Boulder.

This new park was so pretty! The tree's were amazing and it was jammed packed with people. This park felt very alive to me.

We ate Sushi on a park bench and talked about what we learned about Marriage this last year.

After, we made the climb to the Settler's Park Trail. It was short and steep and I do NOT recommend eating 15 Sushi before going on a hike - but we made it. The view the beautiful.

After we climbed down we found "Piece Love And Chocolate" on Pearl Street Mall - and we shared the most amazing piece of Key Lime Cheesecake.

It was divine!

We came home around 830 and put the kids to bed. Then we watched our Wedding video and laughed our heads off about how cheesy we were 12 years ago.

Marriage is hard - but I would do it again. Tyson is the right partner in SO many ways and I am glad that we have both decided to change and mold so that our marriage can stay together. I am grateful for my little family and the people around us the root for us.

Happy birthday Gerber Family!
