Cooking Class

Tyson and I are in charge of organizing activities for the "Young Marrieds" in our area. We have loved being able to work together and to get to know other young couples. Our area is filled with really cool couples and I have loved being able to have BBQ's, movie nights and service projects with them.

For October, we organized a full on Cooking Class with Melanie Bowers. She is a real estate agent but also has a passion for cooking. She welcomed us into her home where we found 10 amazing recipies waiting to be made and tasted.

We started off with Mountain Back Chicken, moved to Motzerella Chicken, homemade rice pudding, Rib Eye Stroganoff and a fall salad - to mention a few.

We had more than 10 couples show up and everyone helped make a dish. The class started at 7 pm, and around 10 we were still going strong. Everyone was so full and satisfied. A special thanks to Lori and Steve Weinberger, who helped washed all the dishes - Sis. Bowers was so appreciative.

Everyone helped put chairs back and we gave Sis. Bowers a big round of applause - very well deserved.

The night was great. Next month we are having a "Get More Money" night, where we will have a financial planner teach us the ropes of money ... stay tuned.
