Lately

London has pink eye :( She started getting lots of eye buggers this morning and then her school called me at 10 am saying she needs to go home. Thankfully I was able to get her into the doctor a couple hours later and she gave us drops for the entire family. So now I'm washing everything. London is not liking the eye drops - they don't hurt but feel weird to her.

On another note, both girls got their first dentist appointment. They did great. Me on the other hand again have lots of tartar. I'll probably do a very deep cleaning in June.

We also attended free ice-cream day at Dairy Queen.

I also completed my OBM teaching week - man it was really intense - 30 hours of teaching in one week. I was able to make it to every lesson. Well then just two days later I got my first OBM client. It's been a really cool challenge to get into the OBM role and I am really liking it.

Tyson's big presentation is on Monday so for the last two weeks he really has done nothing but do the presentation. I'm really proud of him for really wanting to do well on this. I am hopeful it will pan out to something better.

London has also been pretty much cutting her nap so she is going to bed at 630 every day. Last night she woke up at 2 am and was fussy but it was probably because of the pink eye.

We also got a HUGE snow storm this last week - like a foot of snow within 24 hours. It was crazy and I got stuck twice. Glad it was done.

Easter 2016

Easter was really great today.

Tyson was up at 5 am to work on his big presentation coming up in April. The girls got up at 645 and loved finding their Easter Eggs hidden inside the house. I could hear them stomping upstairs.

They came down to me at 7 am and told me to get up :) We hid the eggs again downstairs and they loved finding them.

London has been binkie free for 3 days! I asked her three nights ago if she wanted to give me her binkie in exchange for Ice cream. She first said yes, but then said no, then I told her she would have to sleep alone if she had her binkie. She cried for me to come back into the room - when I did, she had her binkie extended out to me and I took it and she feel sleep with me in bed.

At first I thought it was a fluke, but the next day we went for ice cream and celebrated London being a "big" girl who no longer needs her binkie. The 2nd night Tyson bribed her with donuts the next day - which totally worked. Well tonight there was not  bribe, just rocking. She was great. She wanted to talk longer but she feel sleep while I was rocking her.

I can't tell you how happy I am to be done with the binkie stage - but part of me is slightly sad. London is our last baby and she is so sweet. I am so proud of her for growing up though. I've always felt excited for my kids to grow up.

Anyway, we went on a walk in the morning, then we came home, ate lunch and got ready for church.

Sydney and London sang Getheseme in sacrament and Sydney kept giving us a thumbs up. Too cute. London just wanted to stand there.

Primary was great, but I did sneak into Sunday School and boy was it a good lesson. I felt the spirit very strongly. It was something I needed. I also attended the woman's conference the night before and felt the spirit there. To me the spirit feels like a my heart is swelling and leaves me very teary eyed. I've learned to accept this is how the spirit is telling me that something is "good or true"

We got home and Kimber joined us for Easter Dinner. We had ham, mashed potatoes and salad - it was pretty yummy.

So now it's 8:30 pm - everyone is in bed. I did about an hours work to catch up and now writing down.

Tyson has been nonstop since we got  back from Cancun. We are grateful for the chance to prove ourselves but I am also very cautious that we don't get caught up in "titles" that we sacrifice too much family time. I feel very strongly that money will never compensate with family time lost. Justtonight Sydney was crying to Tyson about "who will marry me? and asked if Tyson could marry her ..."

It's moments like these that remind me that Tyson's place in the family is so needed and so strong. He can do more for our girls than I ever could. This Easter, I am grateful for him. I am grateful for Jesus. I need Jesus - he love and forgiveness when I mess up in life, he undying faith in me. I need Jesus and I am so grateful I have him in my life.

Abuelita's 80th Birthday

We had a blast in Utah for my abuelitas 80th birthday surprise party. We got up super early on Thursday. We got to the airport at 6 am which was good since we had the longest and slowest line ever at security. We waited 40 minutes! We finally made it and had just enough time time to get breakfast and get on the plane.

Sydney loved the plane! She was so excited, sat by the window and kept saying "we are flying...."
The girls did pretty good on the plane   They got cranky after the hour. We arrived and it took forever to get our luggage. Jael came to pick us up from the airport. We got to the house and I headed straight for the library. I was in the last two days of my OBM certification training week. 6 hours everyday of teaching. I was very serious about it. We did not miss a single lesson. I worked from 10 am - 3 pm. Then got home and hung out with the family.

Friday I dropped the kids at jaels place and headed to the library again.  I came back at 4 and Jael went to the gym. I racked her front lawn. Then she came home and mom said to come to her place for a party. We had a party until 930 and then came home to sleep. The nights were the roughest with the girls - mostly London. She cried for Tyson every night.

Saturday we got up, took a shower and headed to moms house. Jael and I went with her to pick up the cake. We sat in the back of the CRV and got it to the reception place. Then I dropped off my mom and Jael to the makeup artist and went to put the girls down for nap. I got my make up done and got fake eyelashes - that was fun.
We got up, got ready and went to the party.

We took photos, ate food, danced - our late nap worked beautifully. The girls stayed up until 11 pm and were on great spirits. My Abuelita was super surprised and loved it.

Sunday morning we got up, had breakfast then went to moms house. After everyone left Melynda came to pick us up. We stayed for several hours at her house and had a great time! It's always amazing to see her.
At 230 we went to the airport. It was a great trip! Short and quick. I was sad Tyson could not be here but also happy that he could stay home to focus on his presentation that he has coming up.
