It took him 16 weeks and SO much work and tears. I am SO proud of him. At 11 am we went to his office and watched everyone do their demos. Tyson practice his 5-minute presentation for 3 hours and totally killed it.
After everyone's demo's we went to the Boulder Beer Company and we had yummy appetizers and yummy drinks. It was pouring snow outside but we were so happy. Tyson walked to get his certificate and his teachers said really nice things about him. Then they all stood in a circle and talked about highs and lows and their biggest aha moments.
The most memorable moment for me was hearing several of his cohort buddies explaining how Tyson was such a leader among his peers and always willing to help. It was awesome to see that Tyson's goodness really shined through.
We finally left the company around 3 pm and it took forever to get home. I just can't believe we ACTUALLY did it.
It felt like the entire family graduated - not just Tyson. I took my college diploma and put Tyson's diplomat in it. Tyson though it was silly, but part of me is more proud of RefactorU then of my college degree. The last two months especially were so hard with me being sicker than a dog - Tyson pulled every piece of strength to work at school and help with the girls.
So we are done! oh man it feels good to say that. Tyson had a first round interview that Wednesday and will have a 2nd interview on Monday.
It's been nice to have Tyson home sooner - oh man it's been amazing. He is even taking the girls to swimming this week.
