It's crazy when you get into a kick. I realized that I wanted to have hooks for each of our towels in the bathroom. I bought some hooks and then went to work trying to take out the towel rack we now have. Only problem is that I.dont.do.construction.
I ended putting a huge whole in our wall. I tried my best cover it up and after tons of puddie it looks ok. I sanded it and painted it and now the hooks look pretty awesome. For me anyway :)

Happy 4 Year Anniversary
It's crazy how fast our first 4 years of marriage has gone. We have been so blessed to have so many fun memories - building a business, moving to another state, getting pregnant, learning to things - it's been a crazy last year for sure. Tyson and I wanted to make sure this anniversary was fun and special. We have never been really big people on anniversaries. We usually go to lunch somewhere, we always watch our wedding video and talk but nothing more than that. This year I really felt I needed to make it count. Probably because this will be the very last anniversary EVER without kids. Tyson and I have been so used to being just us and life will change in just a couple of months. Life will change but in a good way. This year felt like our last way to goodbye to our old life and hello to the new adventure Sydney will bring.
We woke up super early (7:30 am) and got ready. Tyson helped one of his agents with questions and I got ready. We were ready and fed by 8:45 am. We were super brave - or dumb- and we headed downtown the the IKEA grand opening. It was mayhem but super fun. We waited in line for 25 minutes just to get into the front door. We had a good time just talking to the people around us asking what we were all there for. We made it inside and very calmly walked around the store. We bought a night light, some dresser organizers and some small kits for Sydneys room. Our favorite part was the kitchens and the bedrooms - I saw some amazing ideas on simplifying and just living simpler.
After Ikea it was my turn to surprise Tysons. We went to Skyventure Colorado, which was only two blocks away from IKEA and Tyson got to finally skydive. Indoor Skydive that is. He loved it! He was such a natural. I could not do it since I was pregnant but it made me giddy just to see Tyson be so happy. He had two- 1 minute flying intervals. He just rocked at it! Everyone kept saying that he must have done it before. Our instructor (Mike Silva) just happened to be the #1 Freestyle Flyer in the country and had just won a gold medal! He was amazing!
After Skyventure we headed home. Our friend Jaime hooked us up with a free pizza from Papa Murphies - so good! We got home and relaxed. At 5 pm I went with Tyson on an appointment and I hung out at Kohls while he went with one of our recruits. We finally made it home around 10 pm. I was so tired we went to bed and watched our wedding video. We laughed our heads off. We felt so cheesy.
It was a great anniversary. It was awesome to spend the whole day together and talk about our lives. I'm grateful to be married to Tyson. We help each other become better people and I could not imagine anyone else better for me and our family than Tyson. He really is amazing.

Summer Heat
The last couple of weeks have been really hot. The only way to really survive is at the pool. Melissa's apartment building has a pretty cool pool so we try to lay out and let the kids play as much as possible. Lately we have been laying by the pool and gacking at the IKEA catalog. We have been so excited to have an IKEA open.
I have to say that it's so fun to be pregnant with friends. I have Melissa, Katie (who just gave birth), Celeste, Caroline are just to name a few. I love that I have other's to share my worries with. I also love that most are on their 2nd or 3rd babies so they give me so much practical advice. It's really great.
Tyson has been really excited about his tomatoe plant. Our good friend Brad Romero who is a master gardner gave us a HUGE pot plus soil. He says we are going to get a HUGE plant and Tyson is so excited. Sydney has been kicking and growing like crazy. At my next appointment I am taking a glucose test. Melissa's midwife also told her that Good Semeritan Hospital is the best hospital if you want a more natural experience. I'm pretty happy about that.

Fun Events
So we must have been pretty busy last summer because I never knew Colorado had a moonson season until this summer. Moonson - sounds like something in Africa or the rain forrest, and your very own Colorado. It's crazy. It pretty much means a month full of afternnon rain. I'm not talking little sprinkles like in Utah but rainshowers that remind me of Nicaragua that would come with massive force. The skies are pretty cool these days and I had to take a picture.
Sunday we visited Curtis and Katie Hickman - awesome regionals with PFS that have a cute new week-old baby girl named Josie. We brought them dinner and had a great time just learning to be by a newborn. Tyson was sooo awkard at first. He just froze when she was in his arms. Eventually he relaxed a little bit. We were amazed at how little she was. She also had BRIGHT platinum hair - which Curtis said was a lot like his. It was surreal to think that in less than 90 days we would have a little one like that in our lives - except it was not a pretend, but for reals!!!
We are both thrilled and really nervous. They are so little but so strong. We got home around 10:30 and we were soo tired. Today was my day off and I napped for two hours. I'm just so tired all the time at night. The sun has been hot and so I'm sure it makes me more tired than usual Outside of that things are doing great.

Size 10
I've heard about feet growing during pregnancy - but I did not honestly thing it would happen to me. Before my Utah baby shower I went to Target to buy some new cute flip flops with a gift card. I tried on my size 9 - but to my surprise the flip flops were too small.
What?
I mean I have big enough feet as it is. There were no 9.5 size so I had to go straight to a 10. A 10! Tyson is 10.5 people! I was pretty embarrassed. To make things worse the size 10 fit great :(
Today we headed to Ruby Tuesdays to use our "free burger" coupon we got from Facebook. We were not expecting the food or place to be this nice. I remember going to Ruby Tuesdays in Utah like 5 years ago and I was not impressed. But not this one. It felt so high end - which made me a little sad I was just dressed in my ESS uniform. Tyson looked great though - as always. I had the turkey avocado burger, with a side of rice pilaf and sauteed zucchini. It. Was. Awesome.
I was reading an article in Money magazine and the new popularity of coupons. This being my 3rd year of coupon use I can honestly see what a blessing it has been. I'm grateful I'm not fanatical but there was a day were I bought 30 bottles of body wash and I have bout 3 years worth of toothpaste and toothbrushes in our pantry. I'm really proud that I have been getting really good at getting fresh produce and meat for low prices instead of just getting processed stuff.
Besides that today has been a pretty chill Saturday. Tomorrow we head to Loveland, CO to take dinner to one of PFS peeps who just had a baby girl - Josey. It will be great to come face to face with a newborn and hopefull get some advice from "in the trenches" parents.

25 Week Picture
I am 25 weeks and loving being pregnant. At my last OB appointment I had gained 6 lbs - which scared me at first but the OB said it was still perfectly normal and good for me to gain that much. I still have to say that weight is a worry of mine - after all what you put on you must take off, but I am grateful to know my body is doing what is best for the baby.
My once non-existant sweet tooth has been creeping up on me. Specially with yummy summer treats. It takes alot of self control to not give in to my cravings - as along as I eat well at home I feel like I am under control.
The one thing that has me surprised is how tired I am getting. At night I am once again exhausted and find it hard to acomplish much. It reminds me alot of my first trimester. Last night I even had a small feeling of nausea. I tend to go to bed earlier and my eyes burn if I keep my contacts on passed 9:30 pm.
My latest project has been doing my Blurb Blog Book for 2009-2010. I usually do it every two years but that means each book takes a while to edit and make it the way I want. My goal is to get it done in two weeks so I don't worry about my 2011-2012 book for a while and I can focus on tons and tons of pictures of growing Sydney.
I had a dream last night that Sydney was about 3 months old and we were out and about with her and my family when all of the sudden she pooped. She pooped the poop of ALL poop! It looked like a small boulder. I remember that I wasnt mad or anything - just amazed and kept trying to tell Tyson about it. It was prety funny.

Baby Shower Trip Day 2 & 3
The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxed. Monday we I went with Jael and Steve to watch Transformers. We ate lunch at Rumbies and went shopping. That night we all headed to watch fireworks. Mom treated us to shakes from Iceberg and we hung out at Murray Park and watched an awesome firework show.
I have to say that I was treated like a queen this weekend. Being pregnant sure has its benefits. My little brothers were crazy about my belly and constantly kept touching it and kissing it. It was really sweet. It was sad to leave family - its always sad, but the fact that we fly back in a month for Julio's wedding makes it better :)

Baby Shower Trip Day 1
Saturday was exhausting! I was so nervous that I woke up at 6 am even though I went to bed at 1:30 am. I got up, took a shower and got ready. We ate breakfast at 8 am and were out the door at 10 am. We picked up balloons and my cake. We were at The Old Spagethi Factory from 12-2:30 and it was a hoot! We had more than 30 people attend and it was great to see old friends and family.
Right after the shower I headed to pick up Melynda and drove 3 hours to the Bear Lake Cabin. We had an amazing time just talking and talking.
The Gerber Shower was so relaxing. They were so generous. I love loved loved being at the Lake and can't wait to take Tyson there in August.
We headed home at 9:40 pm, got home at 12:45 am and headed straight to bed. Wow what a day!
