Halloween came and went. We went trick or treating with the Scottorns. The coolest part was carving pumpkins with Tyson. I've only done it a couple of times in my life, but Tyson has done it quite a bit. So we went to Walmart to pick some up. We actually got in an argument because he needed to use his fun money and we did have the budget to buy them outside and he was kind of upset about it when he went into Walmart while I waited in the car - but when he came out he had two pumpkins. He was so nice to use his own fun money for something for us. It may sound small - but it's the little things that keep a marriage strong.

Later that week we also watched Jessica Moya's baby. She is so cute! I'm pretty proud that I felt so comfortable with her - even when I watched her alone for an HOUR! It was great.

Happy Birthday Superman

As I remember how it felt to first be married to Tyson, I can't help but think of how much he has changed - yet is still the same.

Outside of his amazing sense of humor, constant positive attitude and dreams that could fill the Bronco's stadium - Tyson is still amazing when I am sick, forgets to put his chair in and yells at me when I "forget" to put my seat belt on.

If I could only let Tyson know how much I admire him. If I could only let him know that my life is better, happier, more inspiring because of him. If he only knew how I can seem strong - but I am puddy in his hands because I can't see my life without him. Although I don't show him the way I should - I'll take this time to thank him and love on him the way an amazing man should be.

Happy birthday love. You are so kind to me. Thank you. You are so patient with me. Thank you. You love me!!! I love you.

Happy birthday.

PS. Birthday celebrations include hour-long messages, cake & ice-cream, secret pop and lots of fun surprises.

Shacky shacky

We had a tons of wind last night and I mean TONS! Melissa and I headed to Ulta to buy some new hair stuff and we were grabbing on to stuff to not blow away. I woke up this morning and went around as usual - until Tyson pointed something out to me.

It was reported that wind was going at 45 miles per hour! Crazy. The wind makes me look so funky in this picture!!! Tyson as always looks great.

Ward Trunk or Treat

We attended the ward Trunk or Treat on Saturday. I made Cinnamon rolls and some really really bad cornbread - it was not my intention but it started falling apart on the way to the church :(

Tyson and I were not going to dress up- then we were - then weren't. Melissa came over and gave us some great cheap ideas. In the end I was a nerd and Ty was a train conductor.

The coolest part was that we invited several friends who are not in the church - which is really something we never did in Utah. The missionary efforts here are so great and challenging. Everyone had a good time. The chili and Cinnamon rolls were awesome, the trunk or treat was fun - we even gave out Candy!! Since the Scottorn's crashed our Trunk or Treat - we are crashing theirs this Saturday. Sunday we went to see their kids in the Primary program and had awesome roast beef after to celebrate. Even thought its getting colder and darker - there something about this time of year.

Fantastic Friday

Christmas is in 60 days away! Part of me rejoices. Part of me dreads it. This will be our first Christmas away from home and family and traditions. We won't fly in until the 30th of December to visit my family so it really will be the two of us here just chillin. It will be very interesting to see how festive Ty and I get without many presents.

Anyway, the countdown has started and I've already completed 3 of the 6 majors gift that we need to give. Last night I attended Fantastic Friday in our stake - mostly likely the most well-organized stake craft project EVER. Seriously you walked in and everything for each project was laid out for each person - with a name and all the equipment you needed at your fingertips. It was clean and well lit - this is my kind of craft.

I did two projects; a onesie and a Christ sign. Both turned out great. After I headed over to Celeste Hutchinson home to celebrate Meredith Hammonds birthday. Boy did we have fun. We just talked and talked - and watched the DVR version of Sarah Baker being in the Price Is Right game show.

In four months we will have been here an entire year. It's nice to actually see friendships forming and to get to know new families that are alot like us. I came home, got ready for bed and had this strange dream that I was driving my golf car and accidently made a baby fall and split his head opened - in front of his mother! I was so mortified.

Halloween Time

I love October. It's Tyson's birthday, Halloween, cooler weather and ..... I get to take out my cute decor. Viola!

I'm already planning for Tyson's birthday in two weeks. I've already started my Christmas shopping and have 5 presents bought. The budget is set, the tickets to Utah are purchased. I can't believe we have been here 9 months. I remember thinking I would never be able to be truly happy outside of Utah and my family. but here I am. I'm stronger and in many ways happier because we moved. We firmly believe in "growing where we are planted".

I have a big surprise for Tyson. We have been saving and saving and he is going to love it!!!

Cleaning The House

The best motivator to clean your house ... company. Melissa asked if we could have a baby shower for Jessica Moya at our little backyard and I was thrilled - until I realized it meant having lots of people come to my little house. So in the midst of getting food and the backyard ready I also cleaned, cleaned, cleaned.

I know it sounds like I'm some weirdo but I love purging my house. I love feeling peaceful and having a quite, simple home. I believe a home should not take over every minute with cleaning. A home should be fun and worry free, as much as possible anyway.

I was pretty happy with my results. Its funny things that go through your head, as I was cleaning I started to think how I can't wait to have a maid - but then I started thinking how she may not be as clean as me so then I would pay someone for a bad job. My mind is so weird sometimes.

The babyshower was the next day and turned out a complete success. We had some great games. 1. We had to taste actual baby food (meats included, yuck) and guess what it was. 2. We had to complete common nursery rhymes and 3.We had a memory game with a basket full of baby stuff. I won the tasting game - not something I'm super proud of. Jessica had a great time so we were happy - oh yeah did I mention that the food was amazing?

Relaxing Sunday

It's here! Fall weather is finally here. Up until October 1st we were in the 80s and although I loved how warm it was, I was beginning to yearn for colder weather, boots, jeans and sweaters. Wish granted. Last night we took our two top performers to dinner at Chili's. We had a such a great time. We talked about goals, the Yankees and girls. After we visited the Scottorns and played "what if" and guess who won?! ME!!

Although we had a great time, we stayed up way past my bedtime. We did not get home until 11:45 and this is ridiculously late for me. Tyson always makes fun of me because when I am that tired - I enter the house and in silence get ready for bed in 45 seconds. Nothing will stop me! Tyson was not tired at all, so he stayed up to read. We woke up this morning, got ready for church and headed there - but had to turn around when I realized that I forgot the Sundbean Roll. Church was great. It was testimony meeting.

After church we had a missionary meeting - we have five new investigators and it's been an answer to our prayers. After the meeting Tyson went to choir but I stayed to clean a little surprise. After I cleaned my new surprise I did laundry and looked through my Sunday paper.

After looking at that I was about to make dinner when the Gardners called and invited us to dinner! We arrived and had amazing soup, bread and Tyson was able to play Settlers of Katan. It was fun. The only thing I struggle with is that I am use to the sun breaking through our windows and waking us up - NO LONGER!! We are sleeping later and later and later - not good. Besides that we are loving the colder weather.

Estes Park

Ever since we moved to Colorado we have heard about Estes Park. Similar to Jackson Hole and Park City. With the fall starting I wanted to see the changing leaves.

Since I had Monday off, we took off and headed up to Estes Park. It took about an hour to get up there but it was worth the drive. The town was super quaint. We even saw a Primerica office! We walked the streets, looked at the shops, went to the winery. We headed home with some ice-cream. I wish we could have taken a little longer and been better prepared for the chilli weather but we loved our time there.

It's been a great month. Last month Tyson did amazing and got our first recruit off to a fast start. We were so blessed. We are excited for Halloween. I already have ALL my decor up. Can't wait for sweater season

conference weekend

I love this weekend. Although different from Utah - there is still such a special spirit to Conference weekend. This year we were so blessed to spend the Sunday morning session with the Baker, Hutchinson and Romero family. We ate a marvelous breakfast and watched conference on the Internet.

It felt really similar to Utah but a little bit more special. Specially because in Colorado you must make a much bigger decision to make conference a priority. No one is watching you or checking up on you to see if you watch the Prophet and when you do, you feel the spirit. I loved it.

I took my camera but forgot to take pictures - lame!!!

Last night I got together with girls from the ward during preisthood and we had snacks and chatted. We are begining to make friends in the ward and we are really grateful.
