I found this random and really weird picture of the dining room/kitchen in our very first apartment. Located at 2220 E. Murray Holladay Rd #43. Holladay UT 84117.
It was about 490 sq ft. Basement apartment. It had one bedroom, a yellow fridge and the front view was a carport. We could see the underneath of our car from our kitchen window. It had hardwood floors and windows that never quite locked. Our apartment door was inside a courtyard so it took forever to get our groceries from our car to the front door - solution? We would open one of our front door Windows and put the groceries in there. It was so crazy now that we look at it.
The bathroom was marble green and had not space and it also housed our closet. Looking back I can't believe we actually lived there. Our renter was some crazy hippie that was trying to sell the apartment while we were living there - so we would randomly have people show up to look at it. We paid $650 including utilities but because we helped keep it really clean we only paid $575!!
We also had a next door neighbor named Vicky. She was 50's and would let us borrow her Internet - but it only worked in our kitchen and our dining table. We also had Tyson's home office in our bedroom - it was a cement table that was left there.
So many memories. It's great to look back. I wish I could have more pictures. We did take some at some point but seem to have lost them. Sad.
