December What?

Holy cow its 70 degrees today!!! Yep that right, 12/03/10 and it's a glorious 70 degrees. I walked into the property today and it was so warm and quiet. The term "calm before the storm" is what popped into my head. It was too quite. It reminded me of the time I was 16 and working at Raging Waters in Utah. The day was absolutly quite and then the sky turned gray and dark. Really dark. I honestly remember thinking "Oh man Heavenly Father is mad at something". The result? Utah's first Tornado in the middle of downtown.

I don't think it will happen here. We have snow coming this weekend so this won't last - but I'm enjoying it while its here.

Last night we attended our first "Parade of Lights - Denver" event. It was actually really cool. As with any event, I get pretty stressed out before but once we got there and saw thousands and thousands of people - we both got really excited. We stood in a pretty sweet spot for about an hour before our first float came but after that we had over an hours worth of awesome sights. There were so many marching bands! That is our favorite part. The coolest surprise was when we saw a GIANT pinguin - just like the Macy's parade. It was so big. Everytime it got to a light though he had to be put on it's plastic tummy so it would not hit the street lights. We left about 15 minutes before it was over to avoid the traffic. We were going to try and stop by the Old Spagethi Factory for dinner but we decided to just head home.

We got home and started to watch "Storage Wars" and it was hilarious! They make it all dramatic.
