Ah Christmas Eve. For me this was christmas day. For Tyson, it's just a fun day. I worked for four hours, which is pretty sad if you call it work since I cleaned my apartment all morning. It's amazing how slow it was. Being a storage manager has it's benefits - I really enjoy working from home per se.
I cleaned the house. We have our soup ready for tonights party at the Scottorns. Last night we made sugar cookies and attempted to decorate them. My first home made icing did not go so well. All the shortning left my tongue pretty numb. The ham is defrosting, the rolls are rising, the potatoes are washed. Tyson has been so helpful. He cleaned our large plastic table and got our the extra chairs. This means that tomorrow we will probably watch lots of movies and Tyson play lots of games.
Last night our attempted date night failed. We wanted to use our extra points at the Brunswich bowling lane - but their arcade really stunk. So we went to Walmart to look for last minute things and we talked about how we first met.I love Tyson telling me our story. Each time is slighly different. We came home and talked in bed. This has became a favorie ritual of ours. Every time Tyson says he's not tired but within 20 minutes he is out.
I feel like this Christmas has been my Thanksgiving. I feel so blessed and I'm so thankful for my life. It really helps to serve others - it makes you feel the Saviours love.
